Ear to Ear Interconnects

Ear to Ear Interconnects are made to the same high standards, with the highest quality components as the other Ear to Ear Music Cables. They are designed to transfer analog waveforms between electronic components with as little interference as possible to the waveform. Interconnects deliver a very delicate signal with low voltage. Hence are especially sensitive to outside influences such as RF (Radio Frequency), EF (Electric Fields) and MF (Magnetic Fields). These interferences negatively affect the delivery of the music signal. Most electrical shields are effective for high frequency EF and RF but are almost transparent to low frequency MF (Magnetic Fields). If MF is not attenuated it will muddy up the audio signal leading to reduced dynamics and transparency.

The proprietary winding and multiple shielding technologies used in the manufacturing process is what sets the Ear to Ear Interconnects apart from all the rest. Ear to Ear Interconnects use 4 different shielding mechanisms that when used together form an impenetrable guard against most MF, EF and RF. They protect the music signal as it travels along the interconnect and ensures that interference is maintained to an absolute minimum.

Ear to Ear Interconnects are available in any length in either balanced XLR or unbalanced single ended RCA configuration. Each is available with a choice of connectors.

Ear to Ear Single Ended Interconnect Construction: Single-ended cable assemblies are made with proprietary multiple shielded 2 conductors with symmetrical geometry. The conductors are isolated, multi-gauge, multi-strand, silver and oxygen free copper with PTFE®. Individual conductors are routed to optimize the self-cancellation of noise. The shielding is proprietary to Ear to Ear and virtually eliminate RF, EF and MF noise from contaminating the audio signal. Jacket material is a specially selected type 316 stainless steel braid to provide noise suppression, excellent mechanical and abrasion resistance and good looks. The standard connectors used are the state of the art Neutrik Profi. These connectors are unique within the industry. The design is such that the ground connection is made before the signal, by use of a spring-loaded shell which gives pin protection before the pin contact is closed. The body is machined brass and black anodized.

Optional connectors are: the Furutech FP-120F which is an RCA connector with a rhodium plated, phosphor bronze (Alpha) filament central pin. It features a brass body with a locking collet and Teflon insulation; and the Vampire 800/CB RCA connector which has direct gold plating over a solid copper base body. Ear to Ear Balanced Interconnect Construction: Fully balanced cable assembly. Has a similar construction to the Ear to Ear Single Ended Interconnect except that it uses 3 conductors. The connectors used are the industry leading Neutrik X series XLR connectors. They have a rugged die cast shell with high quality gold plated copper contacts.

The Black or Blue Label versions of the Ear to Ear Interconnects vary in the size of conductor used in the cable construction and the amount of internal damping used. This difference makes the Black Label Interconnect sound more detailed open and smoother at the same time.
